Reflections
  • Experience :
During this semester, I faced various challenges despite having prior knowledge and skills from the first semester's typography. The struggle mainly revolved around paying attention to intricate details while following specific requirements and rules, especially given the time constraints. This semester focused on applying designs and typography in real-world scenarios by implementing our designs on applications and mock-ups tailored to our designs. It was fascinating to witness our designs being applied to specific products.
  • Observation :
Trying new things in typography design is a bit risky but fun. It lets us create cool and different designs, but we need to be careful. One time, I faced a challenge with many cool things that made it hard to read, and having too few made it boring. It's like finding the right balance for a design that stands out without getting distracting.
  • Findings :
When creating a font, it's crucial to think about how readable it is based on its intended purpose to solve a problem. Typically, the process begins with traditional hand lettering, which is the most effective way to bring your ideas to life.
